How do you want to record?

Both methods feed into the same Books. The difference is whether you want a screen in your hand during the conversation.

The recorder is a small dedicated device made for one job. It has one button. The app works fine on a phone, as long as you put it on do-not-disturb first. Notifications break the spell.
Heads up: A phone in your hand during a conversation is harder than it sounds. Notifications, time of day, the temptation to check a message. Most families do better with the recorder.
